A tiny bakery with a big heart
Happy Butter Bread takes its name from Happy and Butterfly, two dogs who filled our home with love. Naming the bakery after them felt like the sweetest way to keep them close.
Today we bake small batches of soft, pull-apart milk bread and slow-fermented sourdough for friends, neighbours and anyone who believes a good slice of bread is one of life's simple joys.
Every loaf is shaped by hand and given the time it needs. The result is bread that's worth sitting down for, especially with a generous swipe of butter.
Two very good dogs
Happy Butter Bread is named for Happy and Butterfly, two much-loved pups from our family. Every loaf carries their names, and hopefully a little of their sweetness too.
